This Privacy Policy explains how the mobile app IamAlive (the “App”) is provided and operated by Kimiyi AI (the “Developer”, “we”, or “us”). This policy applies to the Android app published on Google Play under the package name com.innocorn.warmheart and developer name Kimiyi AI. The privacy policy page is hosted at https://safe-light-app.web.app/privacy-policy.html.

1. Information We Collect

We aim to protect your privacy. To deliver core functionality, the App may collect the following data:

• Anonymous account data: The App uses Firebase anonymous authentication and does not collect your email, name, or password.
• User-provided information: You may choose to provide labels such as “Grandma” or “Son” and phone numbers for SMS alert notifications.
• Check-in records: Daily check-in timestamps are stored to display safety status.
• Device information: Firebase may automatically collect basic device data such as app version and operating system version for service optimization and maintenance.

2. How We Use Data

Collected data is used only for the following purposes:

• Providing daily check-in and safety status features
• Displaying safety status to linked family members (green/yellow/red indicators)
• Sending SMS alerts to linked family members when a check-in is missed
• Improving app stability and user experience

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties except when:

• You explicitly authorize sharing (for example, sharing status with family members)
• Required by law
• Using Firebase (Google) cloud infrastructure to store data. See Firebase Privacy Policy at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy
• Google AdMob (advertising), as described in the Advertising section below

4. Advertising

The App displays banner advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process data such as your advertising identifier, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to display and measure ads. AdMob may use this information to serve personalized advertising based on your interests, or to serve contextual (non-personalized) advertising.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through your device settings (on Android: Settings → Privacy → Ads → “Opt out of Ads Personalization”). For more information, please see Google’s Privacy Policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy.

5. SMS Alerts

If a linked elder does not complete a check-in within the allotted time, the system sends an SMS alert through Twilio to the linked family members. SMS content may include deep links to quickly confirm status. Phone numbers are used only for this purpose and not for marketing.

6. Security

The App uses Firebase Firestore security rules to ensure only authorized users can access relevant data:

• Users can only read their own personal data and check-in records
• Linked family members can view each other’s safety status
• All data transmission is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Check-in records are retained for 90 days. If you want to delete all personal data, you can reset local app data or contact us to request server data deletion.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App is intended for elders and their adult family members and does not intentionally collect personal data from children under 13.

9. Policy Changes

If this Privacy Policy changes significantly, we will notify linked users via in-app notice or SMS.
